Scott Nordman moved to Siesta Key in January, 2016 and started Sandy Beach Construction after spending nearly his entire life in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Miami of Ohio in 1987 with a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Design.

 

In 1988, he started in the construction industry with Greater Cincinnati’s largest production homebuilder, and after 3 years, was hand selected by the Executive Vice President of the company to help start a new custom homebuilding company, Signature Homes.

Scott was chief home designer at Signature Homes and won numerous awards for his designs. Signature Homes quickly became Northern Kentucky’s 2nd largest custom homebuilder.

Scott has extensive experience in building affordable custom homes and works closely with clients to design the home of their dreams.In 2000, Scott started his own custom home-building company and became one of Greater Cincinnati’s up-and-coming builders. Scott specialized in building infill homes and town homes in Cincinnati’s premier neighborhoods. He was written up in the local Builder magazine as the new face of the infill townhome building community.

 

In response to the recession in 2008, Scott expanded his business to roofing and home remodeling. He was a client advocate for insurance reimbursement after hurricanes, Katrina, Ike and Irene as well as  devastating hailstorms in the area. He became a preferred contractor with numerous insurance companies in part due to his integrity and proactive communication.

 

Scott has immersed himself in the Sarasota building community, earning his Florida Certified Building Contractor License in 2016 . He became a preferred contractor with the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Beach Residence.   He has since been building his business by word-of-mouth and personal recommendations.
